4 – Processing.
If cared and fertilized well, one year can be harvested twice (in June and October 11). Harvesting when plants appear flower buds in tops are the highest yield. Since the 1980s, black jelly has become a commodity. Many families have collected about 10-20 million VND / year thanks to planting and selling black jelly. According to the calculation of the people here, on the same cultivated area, planting black agar gives 10 times higher income than growing upland rice.
